Providing reliable and accessible medical care to support healthy and fulfilling lives

This is the mission of DYM Healthcare. DYM Healthcare is a Japanese-owned company that provides medical services, including internal medicine and pediatrics, and health screenings to Japanese expatriates, their families, tourists, and local staff working for Japanese-affiliated companies at ten locations in Japan and abroad. In total, over 200,000 patients are served annually at all of our locations.

According to statistics released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2008, the number of Japanese nationals living outside of Japan has increased by 26% over the past ten years and by 13% over the past five years. And the total number of Japanese now stands at 1,338,000. However, looking around the world, only a few countries, such as the United Kingdom, Singapore, Shanghai, Vietnam, and Cambodia, allow the use of a Japanese medical license without taking a local national medical examination. Therefore, in other countries, in principle, communication with local doctors in English or the local language is required.

Therefore, we employ experienced medical interpreters who are familiar with local medical services as much as possible, and our medical staff members are also gradually learning Japanese to facilitate communication so that patients can feel more comfortable during their visit. In Japan, doctors are relatively close at hand, such as the so-called "town doctors" and "industrial physicians," and many people unconsciously visit medical institutions on a regular basis, leading to early detection and prevention of illnesses. However, once they go abroad, they tend to be busier with more discretionary work and more diversified work areas, and many of them do not seek medical care unless their health condition worsens. Industrial physicians at the head office in Japan are not always able to take care of overseas branches.

We have established a LINE account that allows us to send messages to each other, creating an environment where patients can feel free to contact us, and we aim to become a familiar medical institution, as stated in our mission statement.
